My client is an established alternative lender in the market who are growing their team and now looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Finance Credit Underwriter to join their team based in Doncaster.

As a Credit Underwriter, you will be responsible for influencing both automated and human decision processes, assessing ongoing credit risk, and be an essential part of their risk function. You will be integral to help define the strategy as the business continues to expand.

Requirements:

  • 2 years + Commercial Finance experience - ideally within an Credit Underwriting or Risk function.
  • Excellent credit assessment and report writing skills - ability to carry out due-diligence on credits and write a credit report for presentation to sanctioning authorities.
  • Strong financial, analytical and numerical skills
  • Strong communication and organisation skills - understanding of the credit risk drivers for each proposal
  • Strong time-management abilities - ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Attention to detail and accountable - demonstrates strong deal ownership
  • Willingness, aptitude and gravitas to be a key member of a growing business
  • Strong SME lending knowledge
  • Adaptable and responsible
  • Team player
