I am pleased to be working with a successful and growing organisation based in Wrexham as they look to recruit a Credit Controller to join their small and friendly Finance Team. The ideal candidate will have an AAT qualification and a strong background in financial administration.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Process and reconcile invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and analyse financial data to identify discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable tasks
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures

Desired skills and experience

  • AAT qualification
  • Proven experience as a Financial Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software particularly Sage and Xero
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
