Credit Controller

Whitehouse Search Partners are representing a global media empire and their world-famous events area of the business are currently seeking Credit Controllers to report into the Assistant Finance Manager. Substantial growth within the events area has highlighted a need for diligent, finance professional to join their credit control team. Responsibilities of Credit Controller:

  • Chasing a wealth of exciting international payments in Accounts receivable ledger, including phone calls, emails and letters.
  • To ensure that information on the Credit and Collections module of the finance system regarding communications with customers so that an adequate record is maintained in the event of query or legal action has to been taken against the customer.
  • To ensure that account queries are dealt with efficiently to minimise the risk of bad debts.
  • To code cash and other receipts with appropriate details in so that it can be correctly reflected in the finance systems.
  • The maintaining of the financial customer database to ensure that client details are correct.
  • To respond to or refer, in a timely manner, queries raised both internally and externally.
  • Willingness to travel to other offices and venues as required by the business.

What they’re looking for:

  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a finance department; experience of handling international payments together with experience in the events industry is desirable.
  • Experience with dealing with international payments and large volumes of invoices in multi- currencies
  • Preferred knowledge of finance systems; notably with salesforce and Financial Force software.
  • Experience with a large accounting system such as Oracle, SAP or Sage.
  • Computer literate with good Excel and Word skills
