Credit Controller

Brentwood, Essex

£30,000 - £32,000 + quarterly bonus of up to £7000pa

Hybrid working 3 WFH / 2 days a week in the office

Flexible working hours, parking on site, 25 days holiday + bank hols, pension.

This role reports to the Credit Control Manager and is part of a team of 6.

  • Managing a ledger of approx. 300 live accounts worth 6-8 million euros monthly
  • Chasing customers by telephone, letter and email to ensure cash collection is maximised
  • Identifying and resolving customer invoice queries
  • Liaising internally with sales, service and accounts managers
  • Reporting daily/weekly/monthly on overdue balances
  • Raising of credit notes
  • Processing of direct debits
  • Preparing files for legal action
  • Making decisions on putting accounts on stop or releasing orders
  • Setting up new customers, credit checking & monitoring of credit limits
  • Highlighting bad debt risks
  • Providing analysis of customer accounts when needs
  • Daily allocation of cash

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years credit control experience. Multicurrency experience needed.
  • Ideally experience of working in a large global business or shared service centre
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Positive attitude, hard working, determined, up to a challenge
  • Self motivated and ability to prioritise workload
  • Able to work as part of a friendly team
  • Good excel skills (ideally pivot table experience)
