A brand new opportunity has arisen for an expeirneced Credit Controller to join a reputable Engineering company based in Eastleigh, Hampshire.
This role offers a swift transition from a 6 months Fixed Term Contract (FTC) to a permanent position, providing a unique chance to become an integral part of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Management: Manage and monitor company debts while ensuring timely payments of invoices, maintaining a comprehensive credit control system.
- Customer Interaction: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure efficient collection processes.
- Reconciliation: Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in payments or invoices.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare detailed reports on credit activities, ageing summaries, and follow-up on overdue accounts.
- Compliance and Policies: Adhere to company policies regarding credit control, and ensure compliance with relevant UK financial regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales and customer service teams to align credit control with broader business objectives.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller, regardless of industry.
- Strong understanding of credit-related laws and regulations in the UK.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Good negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable.
