Rebates Credit Controller

A rapidly growing international company is currently recruiting for a newly created high profile credit control role. This is a complex role, and requires a highly skilled Credit Controller with extensive query resolution experience who can think beyond the standard procedures of chasing commercial debt. The role will be responsible for significantly high values, and will require extensive interaction with several stakeholders internally and externally to reconcile accounts and resolve queries..

This is a fully remote role, although you may be required to be in the office (based near to Bristol) for 2 days during the first induction week.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Chasing for outstanding payments
  • Reconciling supplier rebate accounts on Sales & Purchase ledgers
  • Checking that invoices have been issued on a monthly basis
  • Raising sales invoices as needed / liaising with relevant team
  • Working with Management Accounting teams to identify where monthly supplier credit notes have not been received and chase suppliers (or internal colleagues) where necessary
  • Coordinating query resolution activities
  • Reporting on collection status
  • Assisting in the preparation of other internal management reports
  • Undertaking other rebate management tasks as necessary

Skills/Experience Required:

  • The key to this role is someone who is ambitious, keen to learn, self starter, good at problem solving.
  • The role will suit someone who want a career not just a job, working for a rapidly growing company that will soon be a FTSE business.
  • Credit control and query resolution experience
  • Degree educated with 2-3 years experience / or equivalent
  • Fluency in Dutch, German or French language is beneficial but NOT essential
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence others to achieved desired outcomes
  • Self-starter, able to work to deadlines with minimal supervision
