A Cost Engineer is required for an on-going assignment, working for a large well known organisation near Whitby. The individual will contribute significantly to the project team, focusing on cost management and forecasting.

Client Details

The client is a large multinational entity with a global presence. They maintain a significant workforce in the Whitby and Scarborough areas and operate in the heavy industrial sector.

Description

The successful Cost Engineer will:

  • Manage, control and reduce the costs of processes.
  • Deliver accurate financial reports to management.
  • Conduct regular cost analysis.
  • Collaborate with Procurement & Supply Chain team on cost reduction strategies.
  • Forecast future costs and revenues.
  • Participate in budgeting processes.
  • Support the team in pricing new products.
  • Ensure cost management strategies align with company objectives.

Profile

The successful Cost Engineer will have:

  • Previously worked in cost engineering / control or quantity surveying.
  • Excellent numerical skills.
  • Good stakeholder management and communicate skills.
  • Strong knowledge of financial software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team player abilities.

Job Offer

  • Day rate c£350-500 per day DOE.
  • Immediate start available for a long term contract.
  • The opportunity to work in a multinational company.
