Adsyst have an exciting opportunity available for a Control Systems Engineer to join our team. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, initially working remotely and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £30,000 - £55,000 per annum dependant on experience.

Working hours: 08:30-17:15 Monday to Thursday and 08:30-16:00 on Fridays

Adsyst Automation Ltd has been providing complex Control Systems for Process Control, Automation and Telemetry to customers worldwide for over 34 years. We have four offices nationally; our Head office in Yateley, Hampshire, our Woodford Green office and a further two offices in Peterborough and Stafford.

About the Control Systems Engineer role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Adsyst (Automation) Ltd as we expand our operations further north in the UK. We are looking for Control Systems Engineers based around Yorkshire to start building a team. Initially this would be a fully remote role with a view of setting up an office and helping to recruit more engineering employees to join our Adsyst family.

As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the full life cycle delivery of the project in both technical compliance and quality. Attending meetings with clients to discuss the design, surveys, programming, configuration, testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities as our Control Systems Engineer include:

  • Production, modification, testing and commissioning of SCADA & PLC software
  • Writing detailed functional design specifications
  • The configuration of system architecture, network connections
  • UK Site commissioning, predominately in the Yorkshire area (which may involve short periods away from home)
  • For Senior or Lead Engineering positions we would look for the ability to manage and motivate a team of engineers to get the best output.

What makes you our ideal Control Systems Project Engineer?

  • Software Engineering Degree and/or Electrical qualifications
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Previous control system experience ( 2 years+ )
  • Experience of PLC programming of at least one of - Rockwell /  Mitsubishi PLCs
    OR
  • Experience of SCADA development of at least one of – Wonderware System Platform, Rockwell FTViewSE, WinCC, ClearSCADA, Iconics
  • Clean UK Driving License
  • Must be based and eligible to work the UK

Desirable Skills (training may be provided where appropriate)

  • Tender/Quote experience and Commercial understanding
  • 17th or 18th Edition wiring Regulations City & Guilds 2382
  • Panel design and manufacture or electrical installation experience (using CAD or ePLAN)
