Contracts Officer - Permanent - Swansea - Salary up to £33K



We are looking for an experience Procurement Contracts Officer in Swansea, to work closely with various stakeholders in order to provide a responsive procurement service to support the organisations objectives.



On offer, is a permanent, full-time (37 hours) opportunity with a salary of up to £33k per year.



As a Contracts Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading, developing and implementing a number of Procurement contract areas
  • Arranging and managing a portfolio of contracts to ensure value for money
  • Ensuring all procurement activity is compliant with Public Contract Regulations 2015, the Group Procurement strategy, policies and procedures
  • Delivering commercial and contract advice to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Developing effective and efficient procurement processes which support objectives
  • Leading on high-value strategic Group contracts
  • Reporting to recommend contract awards; statistical and analytical as required

To be successful in this position, you will:

  • Be MCIPS qualified
  • Have established knowledge and experience in the procurement of goods and services
  • Have a solid understanding of National and EU legislation in regard to Procurement
  • Have experience using E-Procurement Systems (Sell2Wales, Bravo Solution)
  • Be able to identify different Frameworks available
  • Be self-motivated and practical, with a 'can-do' attitude
  • Be adaptable to change and be able to lead others through change effectively
