Job Title: Contract Stores Engineer
Location: Wrexham
Salary: £19.00 (PAYE) and £25.00 Per Hour (Outside IR35)
Shifts: Monday to Friday - Days

HR GO Recruitment are proudly supporting our client to find an Interim Stores Engineer on a contract basis for their client based in Wrexham.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and maintain the inventory of chemical products, equipment, and spare parts.
- Oversee stock levels and ensure accurate record-keeping of all items in the stores.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Inspect incoming goods to ensure quality and quantity compliance with purchase orders.
- Organise and maintain the stores area, ensuring efficient storage and easy accessibility of items.
- Coordinate with various departments to fulfil their material requirements and ensure timely availability.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimise stock levels and minimise wastage.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or issues with stock levels or quality.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the stores area.
- Provide technical support and assistance to other departments as required.

Requirements:

- A time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Proven experience as a Stores Engineer or similar role in the Chemical industry.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office applications
