A client of mine has an exciting opportunity for a Contract Manager to work from their Frome Office to lead a team of trades and admin support staff in a varied full-time role.
The Client & Role
The client is a major property service's company covering the Southwest of England. They supply complete repairs and maintenance packages to various properties and to other housing associations, local authorities, schools and private landlords.
They are looking for a Contract Manager to manage a team of trades and admin support staff; to ensure that Planned Maintenance and other contracts are delivered on time and budget to our high-quality standards.
Provide effective line management to Contract Supervisors, ensuring that the best use is made of resources.
Ensure a consistent, quality service is delivered in line with contract requirements and the business plan.
Maintain effective communication links between clients; including attendance at contract and progress meetings, and tenant's forums as required.
Produce the annual budget, setting out resource requirements, profit targets by contract and monitoring the actual performance against target.
Manage all aspects of site safety, ensuring that works carried out are in compliance with Building Regulations, Guidance Notes and HSE requirements.
Skills & Experience
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate experience in building or construction contract management, effective budgetary management skills and ideally hold an HNC in building related studies (or an equivalent qualification).
You should have experience of managing directly employed staff and have strong interpersonal, communication and IT skills. You should be willing to travel as part of the role (which may include some flexibility with working hours), have your own vehicle and hold a full driving licence.
