The client are a large housing association who manage a big stock of homes across London and the South East.

This is an exciting position within the client's Technical Services Team. You will be responsible for the delivery of the client's wide grounds and cleaning maintenance services. Using your knowledge of the management of procured central contracts you will be required to ensure the highest possible value for money service is provided to our residents. You will be the key link for ensuring systems and communication lines are in place between yourself and the neighbourhood management teams who will monitor the standard being delivered. You will be required to hold and chair regular contract meetings with our contractors in order to ensure that our high service levels are being maintained. Where necessary you will performance manage our contractors, including the issuing of contract documents, valuations, variation orders and payment certificates. Liaison with other parts of the business will be key and to support this you will provide detailed cost information on the service being delivered to both our service charge and finance teams.

You will have demonstrable contract management experience including JCT and TPC, ideally gained within a social housing environment. You should have strong project management and reporting skills as you will be responsible for providing monthly reports and key performance indicators for each contractor. You will monitor the performance of the contactors to identify issues and action remedial measures to ensure high level contract compliance and resident satisfaction. You will need to demonstrate an understanding of performance management to ensure that quality and value for money is achieved at all times.

It is essential that you are a first class communicator with experience of working with a variety of different stakeholders. You will be able to liaise effectively with contractors, residents and our own technical and administrative staff. You will need to be computer literate and be able to create, manage and produce reports from spreadsheets and input and retrieve data from computer management systems. It is essential that you have experience of managing budgets.

Ideally you will possess a relevant building management qualification (HNC preferred) and a qualification in a project management discipline would also be desirable i.e. Prince 2.

You will need a full driving license and have access to a vehicle on a daily basis as this role requires the post holder to be mobile (travelling to various sites). You should also be able to facilitate public and other meetings as necessary including some evenings and weekends.

To be shortlisted, you must be able to demonstrate the following:

- Contract management experience

- Experience of large scale landscaping/cleaning projects within Housing Sector

- Self motivated and ability to prioritise and manage workload

- Excellent knowledge of Property Standards, Financial Regulations, Standing Orders, Programme Management, Health & Safety

- Proven experience of managing various forms of contracts such as TPC and JCT contracts

- Demonstrable experience of using the full suite of Microsoft packages

- Project management qualification or Building management qualification

- Ability to prioritise own and team workload with excellent time management skills

- Understanding of Stock asset registers/ asset management databases
