Company Overview & Job Title:
A highly regarded engineering organization located in Northamptonshire who specialise in defence and security communication technology have a new URGENT role to hire Contract Lead Systems Engineer to work on an exciting 6 month project that will be OUTSIDE IR35. The role would benefit from experience in the C-UAS market in particular knowledge of RF Inhibition, Radar, Optical Systems, Command and Control (C2), networking and military grade systems.

Contract Lead Systems Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Systems Engineering for C-UAS products
  • Definition of technical solutions
  • System Architecture
  • Systems Requirements Capture and Management
  • System Performance Analysis
  • Interface Definition
  • System Verification
Contract Lead Systems Engineer Key Skills:
  • 7 minimum years of industry experience
  • Lead systems engineering, architecture through design, implementation and verification
  • A strong understanding of systems engineering methods, toolsets and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully achieve assigned tasks in complex systems
  • engineering
  • Experience in defence systems preferred but not necessarily counter UAS
  • Strong background in real systems engineering, preferably from a defence company
  • Ability to hit the ground running and not be phased by military systems
  • Will lead from a project perspective
  • Responsible for drawing up requirements for external suppliers and resources (external consultancies/designers)
  • Requires matrix management for both internal and external resources
  • Experience of working across the full engineering development lifecycle
  • Skills in analysis, critical thinking and technical problem solving
  • Ability to work in a team and interact with other Engineering disciplines.
