Here at HM Land Registry, we are looking for a Continuous Improvement Practitioner to join our teamon a flexible working, full-time, job share, or part-time, permanent basis and in return,you will receive a competitive salary of £41,887 per annum (Croydon £45,740).

About the Continuous Improvement Practitioner role

As a member of the Continuous Improvement Team, you will play a vital role in promoting, supporting and embedding a culture of a sustainable change and continuous improvement across the organisation. You will use your knowledge and experience of CI methodologies to positively influence HM Land Registry’s (HMLR's) organisational performance.

The predominate focus of your role will be working with our Corporate Services teams, implementing visual management, building CI capability and refining their CI journeys to provide an optimum environment for teams to fulfil their potential.

You will also support national change programmes and projects with identifying improvements and efficiencies, ensuring that new systems and work routines are developed to maximise value to our customers and the organisation.

Regular travel to other HMLR office's may be required, with overnight stays expected where appropriate.

Responsibilities as our Continuous Improvement Practitioner:

  • Lead CI implementation projects to enable colleagues to improve customer service by reducing waste and enhancing quality.
  • Scope, plan and manage delivery of implementation projects, using recognised project methodology.
  • Set up relevant governance and assurance processes to ensure delivery aligned to customer requirement and expectation.
  • Work with colleagues to identify, develop and deliver bespoke CI skills-based training to people at all grades enabling them to work in a CI way.
  • Work with managers and their teams to identify, design and implement new performance measures and visual management systems.
  • Actively support Leaders using problem solving and coaching techniques to ensure CI ways of working are embedded and sustained in their Team.

What we're looking for in our Continuous Improvement Practitioner:

  • Experience of applying Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and techniques
  • Experience of developing, delivering or supporting continuous improvement training/implementation programmes
  • Building trusted working relationships with colleagues at all levels in a complex, multi-site organisation
  • Ability to constructively challenge in a professional yet courageous manner, which maintains positive working relationships
  • Highly effective communication, influencing and persuasion skills
  • Coaching and mentoring skills
