Job Title: Continuous Improvement Lead

Location: Leicester

Salary: up to £52,000 + 7.5% BONUS!

Job Type: Permanent

The Role

Our client is currently looking for a Continuous Improvement Lead, they are a market leading manufacturer of ambient food. The successful candidate should ensure sustainable improvements which will deliver results with having SQDC in mind and driving cultural changes throughout the organisation

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To lead Kaizen events weekly to achieve improvements in efficiency as well as train other members of the team to Kaizen techniques.
  • To facilitate continuous improvement projects long-term from start to finish.
  • To co-ordinate as well as lead internal audits around Lean principles (5S, standard work, TPM, etc,) and then providing 30-day follow up activities and reports.
  • To identify opportunities for improvement in equipment performance and reliability.
  • To develop tracking tools to support CI initiatives and to develop business case justification for projects.
  • To build a culture across the organisation which drives continuous improvement.

The Candidate

  • To be totally committed to customer experience, and to be able to champion the values of the organisation with all stakeholders.
  • To be driven, positive and an inspirational member who understands the impact of their contribution.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in CI/Manufacturing environment.
  • To have a working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques, such as root cause analysis, Kaizen, 5S, 7 Wastes, etc…
