Private Client Solicitor - Contentious Dept.
TSR Legal are delighted to be assisting a Legal 500, leading law firm who are seeking an experienced and dynamic Litigator to join their esteemed law firm's Contentious Private Client team based in Chippenham. If you have 2 years or more experience and a strong litigious background, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the firm.
Role Overview:
As a Contentious Private Client Litigator, you will manage a caseload covering all aspects of contentious private client litigation. Whether you have previous experience in this area or come from a civil or commercial litigation background, we offer full training and upskilling within the practice area if required. This role provides numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload within contentious private client litigation.
  • Grow and develop the caseload independently.
  • Build relationships with other departments, external referrers, and Counsel.
  • Contribute to the collaborative and supportive culture of the team.


The Team:
The Contentious Private Client team at the Chippenham office is small, friendly, and supportive, consisting of a lawyer and a full-time legal assistant. The wider Chippenham office houses 20 employees across various departments, including Family, Private Client, Residential Property, and Marketing.
The Contentious Private Client team is part of the broader Private Client department, which spans six offices and includes 16 lawyers and 11 legal assistants. The department operates in a cohesive environment, with autonomy given to individuals to run and develop their caseloads while fostering collaborative knowledge-sharing.
Your Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2 years+ experience with a strong litigious background.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and work effectively in a team.
  • Approachable with an open-minded 'can-do' attitude that encourages innovation and embraces change
