Job Title: Consultant Ecologist

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000

Location: Oxford

We have the ideal opportunity for a Consultant Ecologist to join one of the UK's most well-established Ecology Consultancies. This small consultancy, based in Oxford, provides nationwide and international coverage to energy and utilities firms, mineral companies, developers, and conservation organisations. You'll have the support you need to grow and hone your skills, and we particularly welcome candidates who like to have ownership of their projects and want to progress.

As Consultant Ecologist your duties will include:

  • Completing a variety of protected species surveys,
  • Overseeing protected species licence applications and mitigation
  • Writing a range of ecological reports
  • Liaising with clients, project managers and stakeholders

To be considered for the Consultant Ecologist position, you will need:

  • To be within commuting distance to Oxford and be willing to work from the office throughout the week.
  • Proven experience of completing habitat surveys and/or protected species surveys and have excellent report writing skills.
  • Be comfortable designing surveys
  • Hold a full driving licence and use of a car
  • Hold membership with CIEEM
  • Hold one or more protected species licences.
