Community Outcome Support worker

First City is recruiting for an outcome support worker who is committed to delivering an exciting new support service that is focused on supporting people to live the lives they want.

We are looking for someone who is;

  • Compassionate, flexible and empathetic.
  • Able to work alongside individuals and their families to provide support that is centred on the needs and wishes of that individual
  • Fun, happy and enthusiastic but also able to maintain professional boundaries
  • Able to support an individual in a sensitive and confidential way
  • Willing to learn new skills and develop knowledge so as to be able to deliver support that is person centred
  • Able to encourage and promote individuals to be as independent as possible
  • Able to support individuals to achieve their dreams and wishes
  • Able to be spontaneous and change in respect of an individual's needs or wishes
  • Team players but also able to work on their own
  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing

Our in house, extensive induction course will ensure you have the information you need. After induction, you will have some time shadowing a more experienced support worker so you can learn from them. You will receive regular supervision and support and will have an identified mentor who you can contact if you have any concerns
