The Company

My Client is a principal contracting company who undertake Civil Engineering and M&E projects across the UK, for example: repair and maintenance to water/utilities assets.

The company is currently growing year on year and has recently opened two new regional offices, they have a friendly and personable team, have been trading many years and have low staff attrition

My Client are now looking to recruit a Community Liaison Officer to report into the Operations Director for the Roads and Utility Diversions contracts.

The Role

The Community Liaison Officer will develop and implement a Customer & Community Plan for the project.

The Community Liaison Officer will implement a community relations plan and work on the development of a Community Contact Plan.

The Community Liaison Officer will advise residents and public services of Utilities Disruption, Noise, and Environmental Policies and any inconvenient that could be caused.

The Community Liaison Officer will ensure understanding of the project from the residents.

The Community Liaison Officer will monitor & report monthly data to the Operations Director & Construction Partners.

The Community Liaison Officer will work collaboratively as part of the organisation and communicate with local resident’s businesses and public services about any temporary effects construction will have on their day to day routines.

This role will be expected to attend and support workshops and community engagement events.

The Candidate

The successful Community Liaison Officer should have experience working in a similar role ideally on construction projects.

The successful Community Liaison Officer will be able to demonstrate fantastic communication & negotiation skills.

The successful Community Liaison Officer will be able to work with multiple partners and stakeholders across the public and private sector.

The successful Community Liaison Officer will be able to deliver and implement communication strategies.
