Job Title - Communications Manager

Base - Edward Jenner Court, Brockworth

Salary - £38,890 to £44,503 per annum

Hours per week - 37.5

1 x Fixed Term contract/secondment opportunity for up to 12 months

Are you an experienced, motivated communications professional, looking for a new challenge and a role where you can really make a difference?

We are recruiting for a communications manager to join our communications team. We are not just looking for a manager. We want you to be a leader, to be calm under pressure, to be able to lead on communications in a sometimes challenging environment, with the added complications that a pandemic has brought. Our team has a wide range of skills, so as well as being the direct manager of a communications officer, the successful applicant will also need to be able to demonstrate that they can work with colleagues in other disciplines to deliver the best results – and some of this will need to be delivered remotely.

We are providers of mental health, physical health and learning disability services, both for adults and children and young people, and there has never been a more rewarding and challenging time to work for the NHS.

As well as using your excellent communication skills and expertise, this role also offers a real opportunity to make a difference, through the support that you will offer to our wide range of services and the vital health messages you will be leading on communicating.

This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory training and post holders must be able to undertake physical interventions. Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health.
