Description
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise commodity sourcing.
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing.
- Oversee supply chain operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of commodities.
- Regularly review and analyse market trends and pricing data.
- Work closely with other departments to forecast procurement needs.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement department.
Profile
A successful Commodity Manager should have:
- Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to develop and manage supplier relationships.
- Knowledge of market analysis and procurement strategy development.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
