We have an extremely exciting opportunity for a talented Commis chef to join the exciting kitchen within this recently renovated gastro pub. Our client is a locally renowned gastro pub/restaurant, and has recently undergone extensive renovations to both inside and out, creating a modern dining experience, within a 17th Century, oak beamed pub. They have open fires for the winter, and a lovely outdoor seating and garden area for the summer, and serve traditional pub fare, along with an every changing blackboard of specials, heavily featuring game when in season. They pride themselves on using locally grown produce, using game and other produce sourced from farms in the area.

They are seeking a dedicated, ambitious and hardworking Commis Chef, who is looking for great training opportunities and room for progression. Ideally you will have completed your NVQ’s, and have had some experience in a professional kitchen, and be looking for a kitchen where you can learn key skills, such as butchery of whole carcasses, fish prep and veg prep.

Working in this excellent equipped kitchen, the successful Commis Chef will get to work with the freshest, highest quality produce, learn about cooking from excellent senior chef management team and have excellent opportunities to develop their skills in all areas of a fast paced kitchen.
