Our retained client is seeking a Commis Chef to work in their 4* Hotel, situated just out of Bishop’s Stortford. The hotel has a very high reputation for producing fantastic food, and caters for restaurant guests, as well as hotel patrons, and has a busy banqueting kitchen also.

As Commis Chef, this will be your first step on the ladder to becoming an accomplished chef. You will be responsible for food preparation and basic cooking under the supervision of the Sous and Head Chef.

This is an opportunity to learn and develop in your chosen profession in a busy, successful and thriving Hotel kitchen with an excellent reputation for a seasonal, produce driven menu.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintaining high standards of Hygiene
  • Preparing the ingredients for the Sous and Head Chef
  • Dealing with deliveries and stock rotation
  • You will need to be able to learn on your feet and be passionate about food
  • You’ll also need to be versatile, so you can develop experience in all sections of the kitchen.

Commis Chef candidates with at least one years’ experience in a similar environment who are passionate about working with fresh, seasonal produce are required.

Own transport preferred, accessible from Stansted, Sawbridgeworth and Harlow.
