Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled Plumbing and Mechanical Engineer to join their dedicated team in Nottingham. They are a facilities maintenance company that look after Electrical, Heating and Plumbing, Air conditioning and Facilities Maintenance. Our Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Plumbing Engineer.
  • Unvented Cylinders G3 Certificate.
  • NVQ level 2 or above in Plumbing.
  • Other multi skilled qualifications welcome but not essential.
  • IPAF/Pasma card or willing to work at heights.
  • Background of fault finding/service work or installations.
  • IT literate – Able to use Microsoft packages (Basic to Intermediate level).
  • UK Full Driving licence.

Responsibilities:

  • Attending site to carry out routine planned maintenance, repairs, and call outs for Plumbing and Mechanical to a high level of service.
  • Finding solutions where possible to ensure that a first-time fix is carried out whilst on site.
  • Work closely with the planners and communicating regarding the progression of jobs, to ensure the works are carried out on time. Noting information on Joblogic to ensure the jobs are re-booked if necessary.
  • Working to a high level of cleanliness when on site so that the plantrooms and associated working areas are always left clean and tidy.
  • Building and communicating a rapport with customers on site by sharing your knowledge and expertise.
  • Carry out and accurately record data and information on Joblogic. Making sure all compliance paperwork is filled out correctly when on site.
  • Obtaining information from suppliers for materials to be able to produce quotes to the quoting team within 72 hours. Ensuring accurate information is provided.
  • Taking part in the call out rota for the business. Being on call out of hours to attend and provide support to their customers for reactive call outs.
  • Use XOI system on all jobs to provide photos and videos to explain issues and outcomes so their customer is fully informed.
  • Develop and motivate the team to ensure that working methods are effective and efficient, always seeking constant improvements.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety requirements and legislation, including risk assessments, safe systems, COSHH records and training are adhered to.
  • Other duties as required by the business.
