This is an outstanding opportunity, for an ambitious individual to lead a dynamic team and drive this successful division. We are looking for a motivated entrepreneurial manager with commercial experience, who has the ability to inspire individuals to be successful.

The Commercial Manager will manage our client’s team of customer facing advisors and data analysts, who look after a portfolio of ~500 customers. The profitable division had sales last year of £15m and has 8 full-time employees. You will have a responsibility for all day-to-day commercial decision-making, personnel matters, sales & marketing and a full P&L for this division within the Group’s £160m turnover.

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day team management:
    • People matters (attendance, holidays etc.)
    • Regular commercial queries (customer debts, discounts, credits)
    • Prospect commercial decision making (fees, service levels, etc.)
    • Customer allocation management
  • Overall commercial responsibility
    • Income generation through timely invoicing
    • Debt management - overall responsibility for overdue debtors with chasing delegated to the team
    • Issue resolution (e.g. delinquent debtor chasing)
    • Customer dissatisfaction matters resolution
    • Customer risk and credit assessment
    • Business process compliance oversight (file checking and keeping, archival, etc)
    • Month end procedures
    • Financial instinct and a love of data are key ingredients, hence we are looking for somebody who is numerically strong with an entrepreneurial edge
  • Business development
    • Overall responsibility for tracking progress on business development
    • Existing and potential customer outreach campaign and newsletters
    • Website and PPC oversight
