Commercial Manager

An fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Manager to join a leading main contractor on an exciting infrastructure project in Hertfordshire. They will join an established and well regarded business who are renown for delivering complex, high profile heavy civil engineering and construction projects.

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for leading a busy commercial team, taking responsibility for a large package of work. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Contract administration
• Providing commercial support to the project & commercial leadership teams
• Subcontract management
• Cost management; ensuring costs and values are collected, collated and reported accordingly
• Change management; notification of early warnings, compensation events and submission of quotations
• Supporting, developing, coaching and mentoring your commercial team

Commercial Managers considering applying for this position will need excellent people skills, the ability to negotiate and influence people, be a strong communicator and able to juggle multiple tasks to meet stringent deadlines. You'll need to have previously worked for a UK based main contractor and confident working on projects procured under the NEC suite of contracts.
