Commercial Insurance Sales Manager

Location - Rotherham (North) - office Based role

Salary to - £45,000 DOE, Bonus, Pension and Flex benefits

Our client is a leading independent Insurance Broker who has been trading for over 30 years and now due to continued Organic Growth are looking for a Commercial insurance Sales Manager to join the team

Role purpose and responsibilities

  • Management of the sales team of consultants, to generate an increase in the growth and profitability of the business in line with KPI’s and targets set by and in collaboration with the Operations Manager & Managing Director.
  • To manage the sales operations of the business. The activities and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • To maintain a high level of confidentiality, trust, and confidence, working in collaboration with the Operations Manager & Managing Director to achieve growth and development of the Company in all areas of sales, customer service, employee engagement and compliance.
  • Ensure the Company and all staff are compliant with mandatory and regulatory rules.
  • Provide management information and reporting for all sales operations to the Operations Manager & Managing Director at regular intervals and as and when required.
  • Maintain and administer changes that are required to the Acturis system to ensure compliance and best practice.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that the Company maintains a thorough and successful training and competency programme across the business.
  • Be involved in the management and administration of marketing activities and the success of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Any other tasks and activities that may be required to ensure the success and development of the Company.
  • To be a thought leader for business development and fulfil the duties and responsibilities of the role to inspire and encourage outstanding performance across all areas of the business.

Personal attributes

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who has significant experience in working at sales at commercial level within the insurance broking industry.

They will be highly competent in all areas of Commercial sales and naturally inclined to take responsibility for ensuring a high standard of performance is achieved.

The candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and experience in motivating a work force to achieve growth and business development whilst still being willing and able to personally engage in any activity the business may require.

The candidate will have a sound work ethic and will be able to work both independently and collaboratively.

The candidate will demonstrate ambition to develop the business and themselves. They will be keen to develop strategies for business growth and have the ability to implement business plans with successful effect to ensure increase profits in the long term.
