Walters People are currently supporting a leading business based in Worcestershire in their recruitment of a Commercial Finance Analyst on a 12 month FTC. The role will be paying £35k - £45k based on experience and will offer hybrid working.

The Commercial Finance Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the Group maximises revenue and profitability through sound commercial financial decision making. This will be achieved by development of robust pricing/costing of services, providing rigorous analysis and review of agency/regional profitability/benchmarking, identifying opportunities to grow the business and better manage the cost base as well as providing support and advise to the Head of Commercial Finance and senior management.

Key responsibilities of the Commercial Finance Analyst

* Assist in setting of prices, including annual fee uplifts, discounts, for all Group products and services. Pricing levels need to be set to maximise revenue and profitability. This will include price and contract negotiation with customers.
* To determine the unit delivery cost for all products and services provided by the Group.
* To ensure all systems and internal stakeholders are kept up to date with changes to contracts and pricing.
* To review and improve the profitability of agencies and business units through benchmarking and budget variance analysis.
* To conduct monthly accounts review with operational management.
* Develop robust financial models that can be used for budgeting, reforecasting and costing purposes.
* Work closely with the Head of Commercial Finance to ensure that Group financial objectives are met.

Key skills required of the Commercial Finance Analyst

* Part-Qualified and actively studying towards CIMA/ACCA
* Excellent Excel with the confidence to present financial analysis.
* Previous experience in pricing analysis and cost modelling
* Previous experience with variance analysis, forecasting and budgeting
