Commercial Analyst - Tameside - DOE
One of IT Bods leading clients is one of the UKs leading manufacturers who is looking to grow the team with an experienced Commercial Analyst to deliver increased commercial insight and improve overall business effectiveness across key strategic threads; conversion rate, market share, market penetration alongside data driven sales & decision making.
Using various data sources to research, analyse and distribute project lead bank to the Commercial Sales function. Development of the business effectiveness over time through alignment of lead bank with customer, sector and market insight gathered to expose key areas of opportunity for strategic business improvement.
This role is office based in Ashton moving to hybrid after 6 months
Key Responsibilities
- Harness data from numerous various sources to create a Qualified Lead Bank for Commercial Sales function.
- Effectively communicate and distribute qualified lead bank to Sales teams and develop KPI (key performance indicators) follow up metrics to drive effectiveness of this information.
- Maintain business data reports and dashboards, performing regular analysis, while also supporting the creation and development of new business reporting metrics.
- Identify trends and patterns in data sets relating to overall business performance.
- Building and maintaining collaborative working relationships with Commercial and Sales management teams.
- Confidently present data analysis to key internal stakeholders, both virtually and in person, articulating all actionable findings clearly and concisely.
- Ad hoc data reporting and analysis to support business order intake performance.
- Cleanse and maintain current CRM dataset to support short term business improvement opportunity, while preparing for long term CRM implementation & migration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision making.
- Use all data outputs to make recommendations to the business wide stakeholders to improve ways of working, to deliver a maximum performance
Skills Requirements
Education/ Technical Skills Essential
- A solid foundation in business analytics with a passion for leveraging data to drive decision-making.
- 2+ years of experience in Commercial Analysis or a related field.
- Be able to work with large amounts of data with strong SQL, Excel, and data visualization tool skills
- Previous experience of working with SAP
- Strong analytical skill
Desirable
- Previous experience in a CRM development & implementation project
- Previous experience working with C4C CRM system.
- Previous experience working with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform
- Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales
- Interest in AI (Artificial Intelligence)
Soft Skills
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- A passion for leveraging data to drive decision-making.
- A proactive and self-driven mindset, with the ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team.
- Demonstrates attention to detail, and delivers a high-quality standard of work that ensures it meets the needs of key stakeholders.
