Are you a CNC Turner that has worked in high precision manufacturing and looking for a new challenge?

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a CNC Turner to join a prestige aerospace business based in Sheffield.

The role is to work two shifts (mornings 6am-2pm and afternoons 2pm-10pm) with the possibility of a night shift.

Salary £32,266

Overtime available

Key Responsibilities:

• Operation CNC tools to produce various types of Gas Turbine components
• Other processes within the cell
• You are required to work to Standard Operations Procedures (SOP’s) and follow a set standard work routine to achieve the required output
• Use the correct tools and equipment for the operation or work, including relevant safety equipment and protective clothing provided.
• Assume responsibility for prescribed TPM to ensure ongoing equipment performance
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
• Responsible for inspection of completed operations using equipment such as CMM and manual gauge tooling.

Experience:

• CNC Turning Experience - Essential
• Manual Turning - Essential
• Able to use measuring equipment – Verniers, Gauges, and Micrometers – Essential
• Reading and following written instruction e.g., SOPs, Technique sheets, drawings, and specifications - Essential
• Experience in the Aerospace or similar industry – Preferable
• Qualification in CNC operation, apprenticeship trained or significant industry experience.
• Environmental awareness, Manual handling, Abrasive wheel training, calibration control, LOTO (Lock out / Tag Out) Risk Assessments, SOP Development, RCA, Basic CI (Continuous Improvement) principles, Auto Main Introduction
