Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Turner to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and programming Colchester Lathe machines with Fanuc controls. The role will primarily involve offline programming, setting up, and running CNC turning operations to produce high-precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Program, set up, and operate Colchester Lathe machines with Fanuc controls.
• Follow engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to determine machining requirements.
• Develop and implement efficient machining processes to optimise production output and quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct quality inspections of machined components using precision measuring tools.

What we need from you:

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner
• Experience in offline programming and setting up CNC Lathes.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Experience with precision measuring tools and quality inspection techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues.
