Our client based in Andover is an extremely well established company providing high precision parts for a wide range of clients.

Our role will involve setting up and operating CNC turning machines to produce high-quality components. Interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations and requirements. Setting and proving cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments for each job. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the first off inspections, Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make necessary adjustments as needed. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to specifications. You’ll also Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the machining process. Perform routine maintenance on CNC turning machines to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members, including engineers and quality control personnel, to ensure smooth production processes. Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.

The ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience as a CNC Turner or similar role. Proficiency in operating CNC turning machines. Strong knowledge of G-codes and CNC machine controls. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality control techniques. Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining principles. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Prior experience with Fanuc controls is a plus. Preparing accurate quotations and estimates.
