CNC Operator / CNC Machinist / Operative with some previous manufacturing production experience, who is reliable, happy to support the other departments and has an eye for detail is required for a well-established company based in Deeside, North Wales.

SALARY: £12.50 per hour

LOCATION: Deeside, North Wales

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 8 hour per day - 8:00 - 16:00

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a CNC Operator / CNC Machinist / Operativewith some previous manufacturing production experience, who is reliable, happy to support the other departments and has an eye for detail.

Working as the CNC Operator / CNC Machinist / Operative you will you predominantly be tasked with operating the CNC Machines efficiently and effectively, monitoring progress and inspecting the completed work to ensure it meets the quality standards expected by the company.

As the CNC Operator / CNC Machinist / Operative you will also be responsible for keeping your section tidy, in addition to other areas of the factory.

Working within a small team you will also support the warehouse and distribution team to ensure all stock, which is packed and maintained by you, are accurate, to a high standard and correct specification.

As a successful candidate you will predominantly work on the CNC Machines. However, you will need to be willing to support the business by working with the warehouse and distribution department when required.

DUTIES

Your duties as a CNC Operator / CNC Machinist / Operative will include:

  • Operate CNC machines on a daily basis, producing materials for productions staff to manufacture specific panels / products
  • Keep CNC bay clean, tidy and safe
  • Maintain levels of stock to stores and workstations
  • Complete general duties and ad/hoc tasks within the factory as provided by your Line Manager
  • Liaise with your Line Manager and other production staff as to what work needs to be prioritised as per upcoming works requirements
  • Clean and general maintenance
  • Keep all areas of the factory (including car park) clear and clean
  • Highlight potential issues and concerns swiftly
  • Act as an ambassador for the business at all times when driving a company vehicle and wearing company uniform
  • Ensure all cleaning materials are handled using suppliers’ guidance
  • Follow H&S procedures highlighting potential issues swiftly
  • Communicate with management and raise issues prior to delays and failure
  • Communicate any product issues in a timely manner to the relevant departments
  • Look for opportunities to improve the product set, quality, speed of production through your role

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Some previous CNC Machining experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to become versatile to adapt to the needs of a fast-paced business
  • Forklift / FLT licence / experience preferable but not essential
