CNC Miller - Programmer Setter Operator

Location: Camberley, Surrey

Salary range: £35,000 to £42,000 (Negotiable) + lots of overtime

Company Profile

An established subcontract manufacturer of highly precision machined parts and components for various industry sectors including Aerospace, Defence, F1, Petrochem are growing year on year and constantly re-investing in new CNC machinery and staff. Due to this continued growth, the company is looking to employ skilled CNC Machinists in their Turning and Milling sections.

Job Profile:

As the successful CNC Miller, you will experience working in a state-of-the-art CNC Machine shop, working on the latest CNC Machine Tools, alongside a team of friendly and welcoming engineers, Milling parts for high-profile, top-class customers.

Duties:

  • Programme Set and Operate 5 Axis CNC Milling machines using Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.
  • Carry out Offline Programming using Fusion 360 / Powermill.
  • Able to read engineering drawings.
  • Produce components to tight tolerances for industry sectors such as F1, Aerospace and Defence from 10s/20s off up to 1000s off.
  • Working with various metals from Alloy to Inconel.

Experience:

  • Experienced with Programming, setting, and operating 5 Axis Milling machines.
  • Experienced with Offline Programming from scratch, ideally with Fusion 360 or Powermill CADCAM software.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Experienced Milling to tight tolerances.

Hours:

  • 40hrs per week.
  • Flexi-start times available from 6am to 8am.
  • Lots of overtime available paid at x1.5hrs.
