CNC Machinists

We are currently recruiting for a world leading supplier of components to the automotive industry:

The Role:

  • You will have the ability to read engineering drawings and ensure that manufacturing components are to the drawing and of an acceptable standard

  • Machining high tolerance and complex parts in the high-volume market

  • Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform required tasks such as drilling, turning, milling etc.

  • Understand specifications of the task at hand and the required result by reading engineering drawings, etc

  • Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to maintain standards

  • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly

  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality

  • Responsible for performing operational functions on a variety of CNC machines and manual machines

  • Use of a wide range of measuring equipment to check components after manufacture

  • You will monitor tool wear, adjust offsets and replace inserts when necessary, ensuring correct operation of the machine at all times

  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to Health & Safety Procedures and Policies

  • Demonstrate good housekeeping practices

    The Person:

  • Being a multi-skilled CNC Machinist, you will have experience of the machining of small to medium sized components

  • Must be a time served CNC Machinist familiar with using CNC machines

  • Must be able to use Fanuc programming language

  • Skill in operating CNC machinery, tooling and precision measurement equipment

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documents and drawings

  • Must have come from an engineering/automotive background with at least 3 years’ experience of modern manufacturing techniques and processes

  • Must have very good English skills (oral and written)
