Role: Flexible - someone within the M4 Corridor

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £60,000 + car allowance + on-call + excellent benefits

Chapman Tate Associates seeks a Cloud Systems Engineer to join our leading technology solutions provider committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions that empower businesses to thrive in the digital era.

As a Cloud Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in engaging with clients to understand their technical requirements, architecting innovative solutions based on VMware and Hyper-V based technologies, and driving successful technical engagements. You will collaborate closely with the sales team, leveraging your technical expertise to articulate the value of our VMware/Hyper-v and other related Hyperconverged solutions and ensure alignment with our clients' business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth discussions with clients to understand their technical challenges, business goals, and infrastructure requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to design HCI solutions tailored to their specific needs.
  • Develop comprehensive and innovative technical solutions utilizing VMware/OR Hyper-V technologies.
  • Create detailed architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and presentations to effectively communicate proposed solutions to clients.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during the pre-sales process, addressing client inquiries and concerns.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop compelling proposals and deliver impactful product demonstrations.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments and updates in VMware/Hyper-V technologies and related solutions.
  • Continuously enhance your knowledge and skills to provide expert guidance to clients.

Technically these other areas are considered:

· Good virtualisation skills, primarily either in VMware or KVM variants, although Hyper-V experience is also considered good general knowledge

· Ideally HCI experience, focus is Nutanix, but others considered

· Server Hardware knowledge, ideally with some degree of support, including configuration, firmware management, out of band management, HPE, Dell product portfolio, servers being primary, but storage and networking a good bonus

· Windows operating environment design, implementation and support, including (but not limited to Active Directory, Group Policies, Windows Remote Desktop services, Windows update, Windows NPS features)

· ITIL knowledge and Service Management documentation and design

· 3rd/4th-Line Level experience
