Job Title: Clinical Administrator

Trust: Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust

Location: Hellesdon Hospital, Drayton High Road, NR6 5BE

Shift Patterns: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm 37.5

Pay Rate: £12.45ph

Is business administration repetitive or boring?

It's neither, this couldn't be further from the truth, the NHS must be well organised and keep detailed records of patients and staff across several wards.

You'll support the ability for patients or other organisations to see or speak to the right person at the right time who can give them the help they need.

This could be booking an appointment, getting medical advice, or helping a patient navigate the trust when they visit.

So overall administration isn't boring, it's varied.

You will find solutions to everyday problems, such as:

  • The position will be split between supporting the ED Service and MBU Outreach. The ED Service needs support x2 a week on reception carrying out reception duties.
  • The MBU Outreach Team requires clinical admin support in the form of checking referrals, typing letters and various other administrative based tasks - also working closely with the clinical team.
  • Provide secretarial / administrative support to the team in order that they can provide an efficient service to all customers.
  • Respond to the administrative needs of the service to ensure that the requirements of the organisation are met.
  • Supervise lower banded staff

What you will need:

  • Communication skills, good eye for detail, professional.
  • Ability to type letters from dictation
  • High standard of literacy skills and grammar skills, customer service skills.
  • computer literate, understanding of MS Office apps
  • Experience in similar role

This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
