This exciting opportunity is for a Client Manager to join a thriving accountancy firm with significant heritage and an excellent regional reputation in Shrewsbury. This is a pivotal role in the practice and will offer an ambitious and confident accountant a really exciting role in which to develop and shine.

What are we looking for? You will be ACA, ACCA/CA or CTA qualified or QBE as this post offers an array of general accounting and tax duties. You will have a significant amount of experience in both areas and knowledge, and you will be adept at managing the workflow of a portfolio of valued clients and ensuring deadlines are met.

You will bring out the best in people, managing teams and supporting them with their learning and personal development. And of course, you will have first-class communication skills and a real passion for the delivery of excellence.

Job Purpose
  • Responsible for leading and managing staff, as well as career and personal development and overseeing the allocation and flow of work within the department.
  • Supporting the Directors in all aspects of client management.
  • Oversee a varied client portfolio in a wide range of industries including Sole Traders, Partnerships, Limited Companies and High Net Worth Individuals.
  • Provide ambitious standards of excellent customer service to clients by answering queries and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Oversee the provision of general accounting and tax services.
  • Work on any ad hoc projects as necessary, such as cashflow forecasts and due diligence.
  • Contribute to the firm’s growth by helping to build good relationships with both prospective clients and existing clients.
  • Work as part of a team that fosters a supportive and inclusive environment.

Job Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified or QBE with demonstrable experience in practice.

  • Previous supervisory experience with great people management skills.
