The Role

The successful candidate will be able to manage a portfolio of Strategic clients specialising in Invoice Discounting and Trade facilities.

As the 1st point of contact with their clients, excellent communication skills are essential maintaining a high level of professionalism either via face to face, on the phone, on email and in written communication. The individual will be able to provide excellent customer service, building strong relationships and understanding of the client’s needs. Risk Management is essential whereby they must have a sound understanding of Company Financials, can analyse accounts to enable an informed decision regarding funding and be able to monitor ongoing viability of client’s business.

The Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate, identify and execute a good understanding of risk management, appreciating the balance between Risk and Service.
  • Managing of the Strategic products facilities which includes larger Factoring, Invoice Discounting, Trade Finance and Revolving Stock facilities.
  • Clients to be managed in a manner consistent with industry best practice, to ensure exceptional client service and extended client life.
  • Maintaining a good understanding and knowledge of the way each client conducts their business.
  • Maintain communication between client, senior management, and professionals within the industry.
  • Clients to be managed in accordance with applicable sanctions. Agreed terms to be applied and monitored tightly.
  • Ability to write and submit client reviews, variations, and uplifts, to senior management right up to main level board.
  • Have a good grasp of debtor underwriting principles to include the setting and management of debtor risk appropriate to the facility and within company appetite and the monitoring of said limits thereafter.
  • Installing appropriate internal triggers to highlight potential issues and ongoing monitoring thereof through the weekly
  • escalation process reviewing collection targets, level of unapproved debt, dilution and verification.
  • Monthly monitoring of Client Compliance and ongoing Operational conditions.
  • Overall monitoring of debt performance, analysing facility statistics to identify potential red flags, proactively acting on
  • anomalies.
  • Identifying warning signs / be alert for changes in client and consider ways in which to reduce the possibility of fraud /
  • bad debt and to take appropriate action.
  • Understand the clients’ business and able to formulate an exit strategy.
  • The ongoing review of client performance - analysis of financial information including Audited Accounts, Management Accounts, Financial Forecasts and Cashflows and track in accordance to forecast.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and be able to hold face to face meetings with clients.
  • Understanding and review of legal and security documentation.
  • Compliance with AML & KYC regulations

The Requirments

  • The ideal candidate will have financial services and/or client management experience.
  • Product knowledge - Experience of Factoring, Invoice Discounting and Trade facilities and understanding of key features and risks.
  • Experience of Risk analysis.
  • Understanding of Statistics.
  • Strong Financial accounts understanding - ability to analyse and comment financial statements.
  • Strong communications skills - verbal and written.
  • Microsoft skills to include Excel to a high standard.
  • Numeracy and analysis of information - can analyse accounts to enable an informed decision regarding funding and monitor ongoing viability of client business.
  • Ability to work closely with other people in a variety of roles.
  • Organised, methodical with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to build strong relationships.
  • Be confident working with technology/willingness to learn new systems.
  • Team Player.
  • Self-motivated - able to work alone or as a team member to successfully achieve given tasks within specific deadlines.
  • This is an office based role where you will be expected to work as part of the team.
  • There will be a requirement for you to attend regular external client and or service provider meetings as appropriate in order to maintain a good understanding of the client needs.
