Insurance Client Manager/Client Director – Professional Services Group – Fixed Term Contract

Aon has an opportunity for either a Client Manager or a Client Director to join our London-based Professional Services team on a FTC basis until January 2025.

What the day will look like

Client Manager

A typical day will involve collaborating with colleagues to deliver client results, meeting with clients to understand their needs and dealing with day to day risk requirements your clients have.

  • Delivery of business results against financial and operational metrics meeting new, retention, and rollover targets as well as seeking opportunities across other solution lines to increase Aon penetration. Use standard methodology to scale better outcomes for clients and actively shares within the business
  • Constant development of Aon IQ – through formal training and knowledge sharing in addition to participation in Client Planning, maintains proven understanding of all Aon services and ensures that the client understands the full value delivered
  • Delivery of the Aon Client Methodology consistently for each client or where relevant in collaboration with the ECG. Applies Aon standards, including bringing all key collaborators at Aon and the Client together for deep strategy and execution of our commitments and plans. AAV – pricing and value; rollover
  • Communicates effectively and gives/receives feedback to continually elevate the success of the team. Ability to act on feedback to ensure appropriate remediation plans can delivered.

Client Director

The Client Director will establish strong relationships with clients and will position themselves to be a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders;

  • In the role, you will act as a client leader across a portfolio of clients with complex requirements;
  • Core to this is a strong understanding of Professional Indemnity insurance, and ideally cyber insurance and management liability insurance and
  • Using your technical knowledge, you will shape discussions with clients and provide guidance to the client teams;
  • The role involves thinking strategically about the client base and proactively bringing opportunities/ideas to the PSG leadership team
  • The Client Director role requires you to work to gain a thorough understanding of Aon’s services and to ensure that the client understands the full value delivered. You will be supported through formal training and knowledge sharing in addition to participation in Client Planning
  • Effective communication is key to the role. The Client Director is expected to give/receive feedback to continually elevate the success of the team, and demonstrate an ability to act on feedback to ensure appropriate remediation plans can delivered.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Solid Professional Services industry knowledge is essential to create the partnership required with clients and client teams;
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of professional indemnity insurance (and ideally cyber and management liability insurance);
  • Proven experience managing a client team and providing advice and guidance on some of the more complex aspects around the day-to-day management of the client portfolios;
  • Ability to identify client needs and clearly articulate the problem to be solved; recognises challenges and barriers to solving them and assembles internal resources to achieve the desired client outcome;
  • Accountability for service delivery, ensuring progress for all client workstreams. Builds alignment of internal client teams on related workstreams.
