Do you have experience as a Bookkeeper, working within a practice or multi industry? Do you enjoy managing clients and building relationships? Then this could be the perfect role for you!

Our friendly client, based on the outskirts of Farnham, is looking for a new friendly and client focussed Bookkeeper to join their team and hit the ground running. This is a diverse role where you will manage a number of clients from different industries. Practice experience will be an advantage. This is permanent office-based role, with occasional travel to visit clients, so you’ll need a clean driving license and reliable vehicle! This is a lovely working environment with a close-knit team who have a great sense of humour. Due to the nature of the environment, you’ll need to like dogs!

Following an initial handover period, you’ll be expected to manage the customer relationship and their requirements, so you need to be able to work as part of a team and also independently. You’ll need working knowledge of Xero, SAGE 50 software and autoenrollment. You need to have AAT level 3 or higher/equivalent, have working knowledge of Excel, excellent customer service skills and be able to work to deadlines and be a confident communicator.

They are looking for someone to work either Full time or part time but must be a minimum of 3 days. This role is office based due to the collaborative nature of the role.

Full time hours would be Monday - Thursday 8.30am to 5.30pm and Friday 8.30am - 1.30pm.

Bookkeeping duties:

  • Sales & Purchase Ledger
  • Bank & Credit card reconciliation
  • Submitting VAT & CIS returns
  • Credit control
  • Managing supplier payments
  • Working with incomplete records
  • Posting Journals
  • Reconciling control accounts
  • Preparing management accounts
  • Preparing year end file for the accountants

Payroll experience would always be welcomed but not essential.
