We are working with Bolton Council to find an Administrator on the Democratic Services team on a temporary basis. 

Length of role: Initial end date of 28/06. Likely to be extended. 
PAYE rate: £15.24 per hour
Hours: Full-time
Hybrid working.

The role: 

This role is to ensure that appeals by parents are heard fairly and impartially and that the rules of natural justice are followed. Ensuring that all information is managed as appropriate with due regard for confidentiality and sensitivity.

Key Duties: 

- Processing online school appeals.

- Conducting general administration tasks.

- Taking minutes during the school appeals. Minutes to be completed within 5 working days. 

- Ensuring an accurate record is taken of the points raised at the hearing, including the proceedings, attendance, voting and reasons for decisions.

- Providing panel with information as requested. 

- Providing an independent source of advice on procedure to Appeals Panels

- Ensuring the Panels comply with their statutory duty in accordance with the relevant law, statues and Code of Practice

Experiences required: 

- Good IT skills

- Ability to take accurate notes of the hearings and prepare accurate decision minutes

- Good communication skills

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

- Ability to work alone but also as part of a team.
