This is a great opportunity for a Class 2 Driver who is looking for more than the A to B. Working with one of the leading chemical explosive manufacturers in Northern Europe, you’ll be part of the multiskilled operative team by operating the safe handling, loading and unloading of explosive materials on site.
  
The client is a market leader whose service provision spans multiple channels and applications. An employer of choice, this client offers personal development and a lot of progression opportunities. As a Class 2 Driver, you can expect a salary between £32K - £36K (DOE) plus more with specific qualifications. An excellent pension scheme (up to 10%), individual and company-based performance bonus, 25 days annual leave and access to specialist training and qualifications.
  
What the Class 2 Driver will do: 
  • Follow strict Health and Safety guidelines at ALL times
  • Travel between different company sites delivering materials and equipment
  • Work with blast teams onsite in the planning, preparation and the safe operation of the equipment
  • Ensure equipment is maintained regularly
  • Other ad-hoc duties relative to your role  
What the Class 2 Driver will need:
  • HGV Class 2 Licence
  • Flexibility
  • Self-motivation with the desire to be a team player
Though NOT essential, any experience of transporting hazardous materials (equipment, chemicals, explosives, oil etc.) would be highly advantageous.
