Purpose of the Class 2 Driver role:

To drive the Company vehicles to locations throughout the UK to deliver and collect product as required so that the Company can deliver to customer expectations. Present high standards of professionalism to all stakeholders and operate within the prevailing, relevant, legal framework.

Accountabilities:

To deliver & collect PRMF materials in a professional manner to meet internal and external customers’ expectations.

To comply with all Health and Safety legislation.

To comply with all Transport Legislation including driver’s hours and breaks.

To ensure that daily walk round checks is completed and any defects reported and recorded in order to comply with the company’s operator licence.

To ensure that all paperwork is completed in a clear and concise manner and returned to the transport office for recording and monitoring purposes.

To ensure that any incidents, including accidents and roadside checks are reported to the transport office as soon as practically (safely) possible so that the Company can action. To ensure that the Drivers’ Digital Tachograph are downloaded on a weekly basis for compliance and monitoring purposes.

To undertake practical and theoretical training as required to meet Road Transport, Health & Safety, Legal requirements.

To undertake any other job-related practical and theoretical training as required by the Company.

Essential Requirements:

Class 2 Driving Licence (max 3 points)

Min 1 years’ HGV driving experience CPC Licence (Drivers)

Physically fit- to move product.

Good communication skills - written and verbal good time-management.

We are looking for a friendly and polite candidate who is customer-focused and enjoys being part of a team. Experience of moving furniture is desirable but not essential.
