HFG are currently recruiting for a leading Lloyd's Insurer who are seeking a Claims Adjuster to join their US Claims team.

They are looking for someone with 2/3+ years US Claims experience - ideally within Property or Casualty. 90% of the workload will be direct US Casualty Claims and will be dealing with US Attorneys. Legacy APH and Reinsurance Claims experience is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage individual caseload by analyzing critical data and reports, setting reserves, negotiating settlements with Cedants, and confidently making decisions.
  • Update claims files with accurate information according to best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management through clear written and verbal reports.
  • Maintain positive relationships with Cedants, Brokers, Co-Reinsurers, and Legal Representatives in handling reinsurance claim exposures.
  • Ensure policy obligations are fulfilled and customers are treated fairly.
  • Comply with all regulatory requirements, maintain confidentiality, and uphold company policies.
  • Achieve set objectives and contribute to team projects as needed.
  • Support profitable growth by providing risk insights and assisting with audits and due diligence.
  • Collaborate with actuarial, finance, and operations departments as necessary.
  • Stay informed about legal, regulatory, and medical developments in the industry.
  • Report important developments and trends to the Head of Claims as required.
