Working within the London Market Casualty Claims team, the successful candidate will handle their own busy portfolio of claims, with a focus on General Liability.

This is a day-rate contractor position, and an exciting opportunity that will place the candidate in a leading position within the Lloyd’s Market.

Key Responsibilities

• Adjust and manage, within authority, a portfolio of General Liability claims, as well as handling claims outside authority with supervision.
• Provide excellent service to brokers and insureds, providing prompt and effective claims resolution, within clearly defined authority limits.
• Understand and fulfil the company's obligations under the Lloyd’s Claims Lead Arrangements.
• Manage third party suppliers, ensuring they provide excellent service and fair outcomes for all customers.
• Identify and refer large or contentious claims appropriately, playing a full part in the overall claims function role of risk management and proper reserving.
• Work with Underwriters successfully i.e. assist with broker meetings (renewals), helping to develop products to provide feedback on wordings and claims trends.

Key Requirements

• Must have either a Claims Adjuster or Solicitor background, with significant experience of working in the London Market, ideally within General Liability with experience of other Casualty lines i.e. D&O, Cyber, E&O.
• Experience of the US legal system, US insurance law and/or insurance community is preferred, but not essential.
• Good mathematical skills (at least GCSE level or equivalent).
