We are currently recruiting for a Claims & Accident Coordinator working hybrid from our Head Office in Birmingham. In this role, you will coordinate the investigation of motor and employers liability accidents and support the claims process to the point of settlement or trial. Compile desktop evidence from the investigation and communicate to the appointed claims handlers and garage, ensuring administration is dealt with in a timely manner.
This role will be based on a rota working 2 x 12 hour and 2 x 7 hour shifts between 07.00 and 20.00 Monday to Friday.
What you'll do...

Receive and record reports of accidents and incidents from our drivers and employees, ensuring quality and complete information is obtained and recorded.
Promptly identify at-fault motor accidents and administer the procedures for early intervention, reduce the downtime of third party vehicles and mitigate claims costs.
Keep an electronic record of all accidents using various company systems and maintain records within the system.
Request and obtain desktop evidence in support of the claim investigation such as CCTV, DriveCam, telematics and google images.
Act as a source of information and internal expertise in respect of any queries from the company’s claims handlers.
Where required prepare drivers’ for conferences with Counsel and trials and attend with them.
Provide written and oral witness evidence for claims which have required extensive investigation that needs to be brought to the attention of the claimant’s representatives and the court.
Actively reducing claims for motor accidents through investigation by providing relevant documentation to external / internal departments.
Providing quality data which can be used in analysis to help identify trends within accident data, with the aim of reducing motor accidents and claims.

 
What you'll need...

Good standard of GCSE education
Investigation / Interview experience
Previous claims experience desirable
UK driving licence required
Numerate and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast paced, pressurised environment.
Attention to detail is essential
Confident IT skills
