Children's Support Worker (Outreach/Respite) - Bolton

Prospero Health & Social Care currently have several flexible Respite Support Worker roles across Bolton and the surrounding areas, on a bank and temporary basis.

These roles will require offering respite to young people with several different challenges. You will take lead of the young person following their likes and interests, going out into the community doing activities and visiting different places. You will be responsible for:

  • Going out into the community, providing respire support and supervision for young people with a range of mental health issues.
  • Liaising and working alongside parents/other professionals to work towards goals.
  • Connecting with the young person and building positive relationships.
  • Reporting via written observations.
  • Creating a safe space for the young person where they can relax, feel comfortable and open up away from everyday life.
  • Supporting the young person to manage and regulate their emotions.
  • Keeping young people engaged during school holidays.

To be a successful Respite Children's Support Worker you should have:

  • Minimum of six months experience working within a similar setting.
  • Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be a resilient and friendly individual.
  • Proficiency at building strong professional relationships.
  • Holder of the Right to Work in the UK.
  • Driver's licence (desirable)
  • Ability to complete our compliance requirements (includes DBS, References, Training)
  • Level 3 Children & Young People (desirable)
