Children's Residential Support Worker, based in Kendal within an EBD setting.
Your new company
You will be working for a small family run business who offer a fresh and innovative approach to looking after children in care. The homes are situated between Lancashire and Cumbria and can accommodate up to 4 young people up to age 17 who have undergone different levels of trauma and crisis.
Your new role
You will be working as a support worker and someone for the young people to look up to and seek guidance from. Your role is to support the young people through a difficult time in their lives and encourage and support good life choices. You will receive ongoing training and development to support you to be the best you can be.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience working with young people with challenging behaviours would be advantageous. A qualification within Care preferably a Diploma in Level 3 in Children's Residential or Children and Young People's Workforce. This is not essential but you will be required to obtain this whilst in the role. You MUST be able to drive with access to own vehicle as homes are in rural areas and not accessible via public transport.
