Our client manufactures sustainable cellulose fibre from managed natural wood sources using cutting edge processes for textile, nonwovens and technical end uses. They are now seeking Chemical Engineers to join their team.

Provide support for day to day operations, technical problem solving, troubleshooting and short term improvements
Lead continuous improvement activities through process and product development projects including design, commissioning and project management
Develop written equipment/plant specifications, P&ID’s and other documentation as required in collaboration with engineering disciplines
Liaise with suppliers and contract companies to obtain pricing for agreed projects and carry out evaluation trials as necessary
Conduct/write HAZOPS, HAZIDS, SIL Assessments, operating procedures, risk assessments, permits, COSHH assessments, control system FDS’s, instructions and other documentation relevant to projects
Degree in chemical engineering
Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is essential.
Ability to deliver operational site-based projects in liaison with both technical teams and process technicians
Demonstrate a safe and responsible attitude to plant/system design and in managing modifications
Excellent communication skills e.g. meetings, presentations
